Releasing a new product is a special moment in a company's life. For Active Audio, the launch of the Ray-On is no exception. We are all very excited to show this new column loudspeaker to the pro audio market. Very innovative, it's the perfect marriage of performance, aesthetics, ease of installation, and cost.
We presented the Ray-On for the first time last April during ProLight+Sound in Frankfurt, and the feedback we received has all been extremely positive. We can't wait to ship the first columns in July.
In the meantime, if you haven't seen the Ray-On in Frankfurt, you can still go on our website to learn some more about it.

Active Audio at the Cannes Film Festival
|
The Sunday morning religious program on France 2, the national public channel, planted its faithfull cameras in the Cannes and broadcast the Mass live from Notre Dame de Bon Voyage on the final Sunday of the festival.
The project of this special Cannes Festival religious program goes back to February, when the Cannes Parish changed its PA system for 2 SA180P StepArray columns.
Several meetings were necessary to prepare the shooting. Sophie Mouysset, head of events for the municipality, had to, "take into account a bundle of difficulties: organize everything during the Film Festival, establish a traffic plan, find room to park 5 trucks including France 2's production departement, which measures 4,5 metres wide! Of course everything has to be done without interfering with the surrounding shops". "This televised mass enhances our City and our church Notre-Dame de Bon Voyage," she adds. Moreover, as well as being close to the Palace, the downtown church also has exceptionnal musical instruments and a excellent PA system. That's why it was chosen. "We are fortunate to have a great organ, a piano, and this is where the Cannes Choir gives the best of itself," says father Gautheron.
