2011 ends soon. You, who know us, know that the last twelve months have been really busy for Active Audio. This year started with the renewal of our visual identity with, among many examples, a new logo, and will end with our new website, online at the end of the month.
While the first Ray-On installations confirm its performances, we are working on a new generation of processor called NUT, you will soon hear about it...
You may also already know that we are finalists in the InAVation Awards, and to win, we need your votes on the Internet. So if, like us, you think that Ray-On is THE product of the year, vote here!
2012 will be a year under the sign of innovation for Active Audio.
The whole team is joining me in wishing you a happy holiday season!

A Moroccan Jewel
|
After 8 years of construction work, the Great Mosque of St Etienne, France, is counting the days to its inauguration.
Since the first stone was laid in 2004, it took the Moroccan craftmen over 5 years to sculpt by hand the intricately carved latticing and woodwork. Today, sculpted plaster and cedar adorn every centimetre of the Mosque. A 100-candle chandelier, pillars covered with earthenware … the craftsmanship is astonishing from floor to ceiling. Built to host from 1500 to 2000 people (including 200 women), half of the 1400m2 building was paid for by the Moroccan King Mohammed VI.
Christophe Palluat de Besset, of Sound Directions France, was tasked with applying a sound system, both of high quality and of discreet esthetics, to this unique religious space. In the central and largest prayer area, two Active Audio SA180P were installed, chosen for their discrete design and acoustic comfort. The system includes also a Symetrix processor, Cloud amplifiers, and 12 SoundTube SM400i split between the prayer space reserved for women, and the ablutions space.
The result is an audio system that melds into its surroundings, allowing the detailed Moroccan craftsmanship to shine through.
