About Active Audio
Research and Innovation
Founded in 2002 by Xavier Meynial, at that time Professor and researcher at the Acoustics Laboratory of the Université du Maine (France), Active Audio’s objective was to create a commercial application of research work patented under “Réflecteur Sonore Actif”. This innovating project was a winner of ANVAR (French National Research Reward Agency) in 2001. Nowadays Active Audio is a 100% private company, but still keeps a close relationship with research.
In 9 years Active Audio has acquired high level skills in PA systems, and has successfully established itself as a dynamic company in the Public Address closed market. Its Research and Development team has made its job a passion and innovation a mission.

The staff
“In one word ? Régis is enthusiastic!”
Gilles
” “Boing-boing” A few pepper-and-salt curls, “Froutch-froutch” a tanned forehead under which a thousand ideas are swarming, “Clap-clap” two fidgety large hands, “Tac” two sharp brown eyes, “Hi-hi” a devastating smile, “Pschi-pschi” a soft and attentive voice, “Chtonggg” two always sharpened ears.
“Waouuu… !!!” radiant with charisma, tel nous apparaît chaque matin d’une nonchalantly hushed walk, our father and mentor : acoustician Magister Meynial, the founder of Active Audio.”
“Gilles !!!!!! What to say about this character ?????
Someone with a baba cool style, being either Mister 1000 Volt, either completely closed in his own buble depending on the moment……A newly 30 year old Daddy, all smitten with his little Jeanne.
Gillou, Gillou, for some intimates, is almost always efficient, but always frank and pleasant !!!!!
A colleague, a mate, a friend, in spite of the generation difference !!!!!”
“If you don’t find him at the office working on some acoustics project, he will be on the water with his board. Two time-consuming passions, nevertheless Guennolé find the time to be our Webmaster, Quality Control Engineer, and of course colleague and thoughtful friend.
Really, Brittany is the place where you find good people !!!”
“French, English, Spanish, Sign language… Communication is something innate for Claire. Add to that a good dose of energy, the desire to discover and some joie de vivre and you obtain a colleague and friend with whom we always work in good spirit”
Guennolé
“David is our technician in charge of the installation of the sound guidance system for the visually impaired. But as it is not enough for him, he can also advise you on where to put them, when, and how. He’s always available and reactive and I’m sure he will even answer questions you haven’t asked yet.
The work entrusted to him is always done in a careful and rigorous way. In fact I wonder if he’s not a cyborg: he never stops, never tires, never makes mistakes. In short, he’s like everything at Active Audio: efficient, reliable and effective!”
“Always smiling and dynamic, Chloé knows however when to be serious and rigorous.
The relevance of her analyses, like her expression quality and her sparkling humour translate her quick-wittedness.”
“Christine loves spending her week ends on boats, Nordic walking with friends and most of all singing while working. Always cheerful, straightforward and ready to share countless anecdotes, it’s a real pleasure to work with her !”
Claire
“He needs you. And you need him too. To you he is nothing more than a squirrel who is just like 100 000 other squirrels. But if you tame him, then you shall need each other. To him, you will be unique in all the world. To you, he shall be unique in all the world… If you tame him, it will be as if the sun came to shine on your life. You shall know a processor that will be different from all the others. Other processors send you away. Please – tame him!”
